COMMERCIAL SERVICE CASE STUDY · AUGUST 31, 2026
Heating-panel repairs & front-desk circuit corrections
One commercial service visit: restoring heating-panel operation and separating and labeling the front-desk circuit connections.
The problem
Accessible heating-panel connections showed heat-damaged conductors, brittle insulation, and deteriorated splices. Four ceiling-mounted panels were included in the service work.
The work
Forge Electric removed the four panels to access the connections, disconnected damaged conductors and splices, and replaced the connected cables with cable rated for high-temperature conditions. High-temperature-rated connectors were used at the serviced panel connections. The assemblies were secured after service, and accessible connections were visually inspected.
The documented result
Forge Electric installed high-temperature-rated wiring, reinstalled the serviced heating panels, and got them back up and running. The service report separately recommended additional review and upgrades to the heating-panel home runs and connection-box locations. Those recommendations are not presented here as completed work.
Based on the completed service report and project photos, with the completion outcome confirmed by Forge Electric. Customer identity and property details are omitted.

Inspection before the repair
Silent inspection clip: opening the connection cover reveals damaged insulation and wiring before the repair.
Front-desk circuit corrections
The problem
During the same service visit, Forge Electric found that the neutral conductors under the front desk had been connected together. The circuit connections needed to be separated and identified.
The work
Forge Electric identified the individual neutral conductors, separated the connections under the desk, and ran a new hot and neutral conductor for each desk circuit. The grouped connections were relocated from the overhead box to the existing 1900 box under the desk and reorganized so each circuit had its corresponding neutral connection.
The documented result
The front-desk circuit connections were separated, corrected, and labeled to identify which circuit each conductor belonged to. This made the wiring easier to identify and service. This was part of the same visit that restored operation to the serviced heating panels.
